FAQ

Common questions

Is the PowerPoint viewer free?

Yes. Files up to 2 MB open right here without an account, and the link lasts about 15 minutes. Files from 2 to 25 MB open after you sign in. An account is free, and a new one gets Pro free for 7 days, no card. After that, a link on the Free plan stays online while it's opened at least once every 90 days, and shows a small Litehost badge.

Do I need PowerPoint to open a PPTX file?

No. Upload it here and the slides open in your browser. The person you send the link to doesn't need PowerPoint either.

Will it look the same as in PowerPoint?

Close. Text, images, charts, tables and backgrounds show. Fonts that aren't on our server are replaced with similar ones. Animations, transitions and videos inside slides don't play, and speaker notes aren't shown.

Why does it take a few seconds?

Your slides are turned into pages the first time they open. After that, the link opens fast for everyone.

Can I open a Keynote or Google Slides file?

Not directly. In Keynote, choose File > Export To > PowerPoint. In Google Slides, choose File > Download > Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx). Then upload that file.

Is my presentation private?

Files up to 2 MB get a public link that stops working in about 15 minutes. Larger files stay private until you sign in. Once you keep the link, anyone with it can open it. Starter ($8 a month) adds a password.
