FAQ

Common questions

Is the HTML viewer free?

Yes. Viewing is free and needs no account. To get a link without an account, the page can be up to 2 MB and the link lasts about 15 minutes. Sign in to keep it. A new account gets Pro free for 7 days, no card. After that, a link on the Free plan stays online while it's opened at least once every 90 days, and shows a small Litehost badge.

Is my code uploaded when I paste it?

No. The preview is drawn by your own browser. Your code is only sent to Litehost when you click "Get a link to this page".

Does JavaScript run in the preview?

Yes. Scripts, buttons, tabs and charts run in the preview, inside a sandbox that keeps them away from the rest of this page. They also run when someone opens the link.

Why don't my images show?

An image that points to a file on your computer, like C:\Users\… or /Users/…, or to a file name like logo.png, isn't in the code you pasted. Images with a full web address (https://…) show. For a page with its own image files, zip the folder and use Upload HTML.

How do I open an HTML file on my phone?

Get a link here and open it in the phone's browser. Opening the .html file from Files or WhatsApp usually shows only the text, without scripts or images.

Can I change the page after I send the link?

Yes. Sign in to keep the link, then replace the HTML file in your dashboard. The link stays the same and shows the new version.
