FAQ

Common questions

Is this PDF to QR code generator free?

Yes. Without an account you can upload a PDF of up to 2 MB and download its QR code. The link behind it lasts about 15 minutes until you sign in. On a free account it stays online while it's opened at least once every 90 days, and shows a small Litehost badge.

Will the QR code stop working?

The QR code opens your PDF's link, so it works while the link is online. Sign in before you print it: a link you don't keep stops working after about 15 minutes. On a free account, a link nobody opens for 90 days is paused; on Starter it stays online.

Can I change the PDF after I print the QR code?

Yes. Sign in, open the project and replace the PDF. The link stays the same, so the printed QR code opens the new file.

Does the person who scans it need an app?

No. The phone's camera opens the link, and the PDF opens in the browser with a Download button.

What's the largest PDF I can use?

2 MB without an account. With an account, the limit is your plan's storage: 5 MB on Free, 500 MB on Starter and 5 GB on Pro.

What size should I print it?

The PNG is 1024 × 1024 pixels, enough for a flyer, a table card or a poster. Keep the white border around it, and print it at least 2 cm (about 0.8 in) wide.
