Tiiny Host Alternatives: Prices and Limits Compared
Published
The right Tiiny Host alternative depends on what you share. If you send PDFs, decks or other files to clients, Litehost gives you a password and a QR code for less than Tiiny does. If you host a small website on your own domain, Static.app is cheaper. If you’re comfortable with developer tools, Cloudflare Pages, Netlify and GitHub Pages are free. Stay with Tiiny Host if you need more free visits or very large files.
Litehost is our product, so check the numbers below yourself. Each one links to the vendor’s own page. Prices were checked on October 9, 2026.

What you get with Tiiny Host today
These numbers come from Tiiny Host’s help center.
- Free: 1 project, 3 MB per project and 0.5 MB for PDFs, 5,000 visits a month, with a Tiiny Host branding bar. You have to log in at least once every three months or the account may be removed.
- Tiny, $9/month ($60/year): removes the branding bar and adds QR codes and analytics. 1 project, 25 MB.
- Solo, $18/month ($156/year): password protection, custom domains and the option to turn off PDF downloads. 5 projects, 75 MB each.
- Pro, $38/month ($372/year): email capture, 15 projects, 10 GB.
- Pro Max, $89/month ($888/year): files up to 2 TB.
The 0.5 MB PDF limit is the one people hit first. A scanned contract or a PDF with a few photos in it can be bigger than that, so on the Free plan it won’t upload.
1. Litehost: for sending a PDF, deck or file to a client
Litehost is built for handing finished work to someone else. You upload the PDF, deck, video or design file, and your client gets a link that opens in their browser. A public link opens without an account. When you fix a typo, you replace the file and the link stays the same. We’ve tested that for single PDFs and HTML files.
How it compares with Tiiny Host, from our pricing:
- Free: 1 project and 5 MB in total, PDFs included. The link stays online while someone opens it at least once every 90 days, and it shows a small Litehost badge. Up to 1,000 visitors a month, where Tiiny allows 5,000 visits.
- Password and QR code: both come with Starter, at $8/month ($72/year). On Tiiny, the QR code needs Tiny ($9) and the password needs Solo ($18).
- Custom domain: Pro, $19/month. On Tiiny it’s Solo, at $18/month.
- Email capture before opening: Pro, $19/month. On Tiiny it’s Pro, at $38/month.
- Without an account: you can try a file up to 2 MB on the homepage. The link lasts about 15 minutes unless you sign in to keep it.
Litehost doesn’t fit if you need a whole website with forms, a blog or an online store. It can show an HTML page or a ZIP of a simple site, but it’s not a website builder.
2. Static.app: for a small website on your own domain
Static.app is a drag-and-drop host for HTML sites, with an editor and forms. Its Starter plan is $5 a month billed yearly ($60) for 2 sites and 500 MB, with a custom domain. On Tiiny, a custom domain starts at $18 a month. There’s no free plan, only a 7-day trial for one site and up to 50 MB.
Its pricing page doesn’t list password protection on any plan. If you send private files, check that before you move.
3. Netlify Drop: for a website folder, without signing up first
On Netlify Drop
you drag a folder with an index.html into the page and get a link. If you
haven’t signed in, the link is protected with a temporary password until you
claim it with an account. Netlify’s
Free plan
gives you 300 credits a month with a hard limit. Personal is $9 a month.
It’s made for website folders. For a single PDF or deck, a tool that shows the file on a page of its own fits better.
4. Cloudflare Pages: free, if you already have a Cloudflare account
Cloudflare Pages lets you upload a folder or a ZIP from the dashboard, with up to 1,000 files and 25 MiB per file. The free plan allows 100 projects. The upload lives inside the Cloudflare dashboard, which is built for developers, and each update means uploading the folder again.
5. GitHub Pages: free, for sites that already live in a repository
GitHub Pages publishes a site from a GitHub repository. It’s free for public repositories, with sites up to 1 GB. GitHub says it isn’t meant to run an online business. On GitHub’s free plan the files sit in a public repository, so it doesn’t fit a client file you’d rather keep private.
Litehost vs Tiiny Host, plan by plan
What each feature costs per month, on the cheapest plan that includes it:
| You need | Litehost | Tiiny Host |
|---|---|---|
| A free PDF bigger than 0.5 MB | Free (5 MB in total) | Tiny, $9 (25 MB) |
| No branding on the link | Starter, $8 | Tiny, $9 |
| QR code | Starter, $8 | Tiny, $9 |
| Password | Starter, $8 | Solo, $18 |
| Custom domain | Pro, $19 | Solo, $18 |
| Email before opening | Pro, $19 | Pro, $38 |
| Free traffic a month | 1,000 visitors | 5,000 visits |
| Biggest storage | Agency, 50 GB ($49) | Pro Max, 2 TB ($89) |
Yearly prices change the picture slightly. Tiny is $60 a year and Litehost Starter is $72, so Tiiny is cheaper for a QR code without the branding bar, as long as you don’t need a password.
When to stay with Tiiny Host
- Your free link gets a lot of traffic. Tiiny’s Free plan allows 5,000 visits a month, and Litehost’s allows 1,000 visitors.
- You want to make the page with AI inside the tool. Tiiny has a “Create with AI” option on every plan. Litehost hosts what you upload.
- You only need a QR code with no branding, billed yearly. Tiny is $60 a year, and Litehost Starter is $72.
- You host very large files. Pro Max goes up to 2 TB, and Litehost’s largest plan has 50 GB.
- Everything already works. Moving means new links. If your clients already have Tiiny links and QR codes in print, those keep pointing to Tiiny.
Common questions
Is there a free Tiiny Host alternative? Yes. Cloudflare Pages, GitHub Pages and Netlify have free plans for websites. For a single PDF or file, Litehost’s Free plan holds 5 MB, and Tiiny’s Free plan stops PDFs at 0.5 MB.
Litehost vs Tiiny Host: which is better for freelancers sending PDFs to clients? Litehost, if you need a password: it starts at $8 a month there and $18 on Tiiny. If you only need a QR code with no branding and pay yearly, Tiiny is $12 a year cheaper.
Which Tiiny Host alternative is cheapest with a custom domain? Static.app, from $5 a month billed yearly. Litehost includes a custom domain from Pro, at $19 a month, and Tiiny from Solo, at $18.
Can I keep my Tiiny links if I switch? No. A link points to the service that hosts the file. Upload the file somewhere new and send the new link. For printed QR codes, keep the Tiiny project live until the print run is gone.
Before you switch
Upload the file you send most often and open the new link in a private window, on your phone too. That’s what your client sees. Check the size limit with your largest real file, not a sample. If you’ll correct the file later, replace it once and check that the link still opens the new version.
